Robbie the Reindeer in Close Encounters of the Herd Kind was produced for BBC Animation and Comic Relief. The third in a trilogy of Christmas specials for BBC1 the film featuring the voices of Kiera Knightley, Michael Palin, Gillian Anderson, Russell Brand amongst others.

Created entirely in CG the show aimed to replicate the charm and warmth found in Stop Motion.
